Short Biography of Si-Kung Maday Norbert

Hungarian Si-Kung Norbert Maday started learning Wing Tsun Kuen kung fu at the age of 14. In Hungary there weren’t any real master of this style so he had to train in Yugoslavia which he visited for four years. When the civil war started in Yugoslavia Si-Kung N. Maday was unable to train with his master so he addressed Si-Jo Leung Ting who lived in Hong Kong. At 1985 Si-Kung N. Maday entered Grandmaster’s Leung Ting International Wing Tsun Association.
At the age of 16 Si-Kung Norbert Maday already had his own students. In 1986 he opened his own Wing Tsun Kung fu school which was illegal in Hungary and other socialist countries. In 1989 teaching martial arts became legal and after a year Si-Kung N. Maday became direct student of Si-Jo Leung Ting.
In 2001 the Grandmaster Leung Ting offered Si-Kung Maday to lead American Wing Tsun association but Si-Kung refused the offer because of his students in Hungary and he still leads East European Wing Tsun Organization. Si-Kung N. Maday published three books of his own and ten Si-Jo Leung Ting‘s about Wing Tsun Kung fu. Some of them are translated to Polish language.
Si-Kung Norbert Maday trained intensive and gradualy reached higher master levels: • 1989yr. - 1st master level; • 1993yr. – 2nd master level; • 1995yr. – 3th master level; • 1998yr. – 4th master level; • 2001yr. – 5th master level; • 2002yr. – 6th master level; • 2005yr. – 7th master level; • 2007yr. – 8th master level. |
